About Scarlet Blush Tulip Bouquet
Four large tulip heads fill this square canvas against a broken cream and off-white ground. Two deep crimson blooms sit at the top, one at the left and a larger one at the upper right, their petals cut by dark red and near-black lines. A magenta-pink tulip opens at centre right, and a golden yellow bloom leans in at the lower centre. Slim black and green stems run down to the bottom edge, with narrow leaves sweeping out to either side.
The background is scattered with small flicks of pink, orange, red and green, thrown around the flowers like confetti. Paint is laid on thickly in wide strokes, with ridges visible across the petals and streaks of the cream underlayer showing through. The character is bright and loose, a cheerful floral that reads clearly from across a room.
