About Harbour City Skyline
A long band of high-rise towers runs the full width of the canvas, seen from across open water. The buildings are blocked in with a palette knife in browns, greys, ochre and cream, their edges scraped flat so windows read as short broken dashes rather than drawn lines. Behind them the sky is a soft, thinly brushed aqua that lightens towards the top. On the left the towers crowd forward and darken, with a small orange-red accent near a pale mid-rise. Water fills the lower third, holding smeared reflections of the same browns and a strip of turquoise.
The character is quiet and hazy, a city reduced to tone and texture rather than detail. The knife marks and dragged paint keep it modern and loose while the cool sky holds the whole scene calm.
The long horizontal shape suits a wall above a sofa, a sideboard or a bedhead, and works in hallways and open-plan living rooms. The aqua and brown palette sits well with timber furniture, tan leather, linen and concrete or grey flooring, and gives a plain painted wall a focal point without adding strong colour.
