About Bridge City Skyline
A wide panoramic view across water to a city waterfront, with a twin-towered suspension bridge holding the left half of the composition. Its cables sweep in thin scratched lines against a pale aqua and cream sky. Behind and to the right the skyline builds into blocky brown, charcoal and blue-grey towers, with one taller pale blue spire near the right edge. The waterline is broken by short horizontal knife strokes of orange, magenta, cream and cobalt, laid flat and wet so the paint ridges catch light.
Below, the reflections dissolve into soft vertical smears of pink, coral and blue over milky green-blue water, thinned and dragged with a broad blade. The character is loose and atmospheric: recognisable as a harbour city at dusk, but built from stacked colour marks rather than drawn detail.
Built for a long wall: above a three-seater sofa, a sideboard or a bedhead, or along a hallway where the panoramic shape has room to run. The aqua and cream sky sits well with grey or white walls, pale timber and linen, while the pink and orange flecks pick up brass lamps, rust cushions or a warm rug.
