The background is built from thick, scraped strokes in rust, burnt orange and honey gold, with horizontal bands suggesting a step or ledge. Visible ridges of paint catch the light across the wall. A few fallen leaves and petals lie near the base of the urn, and the vase shows soft grey-green reflections.
