Three white narcissus blooms sit in the upper half of this watercolour, their petals left as bare paper and touched with pale peach and lilac shadows. Each flower has a small cup in saturated orange and yellow, and the one at the top left is cut off by the edge of the sheet.
Below them, tall green and ochre stems and blade-like leaves run down the page in loose, overlapping strokes. Two closed yellow-brown buds sit at the left. The background is a wash of blue, violet and sage that bleeds into the greens, with visible pooling, soft edges and a bright patch of yellow at the top right. A handwritten signature sits at the lower right.
