A wooden dhow sits right of centre on calm water, its tall triangular sail leaning up and to the right in solid black silhouette. Rigging lines run from the mast down to the deck, and several small figures stand along the stern rail, which gives the boat a sense of scale.
The sky glows deep orange, fading to a paler amber around a small white sun in the upper left. One thin streak of cloud sits just below it. The sun's glitter spreads across the dark water in the lower left, and a low strip of land marks the far horizon on the left edge. A photograph with a warm, near single-colour palette.
