About Earthy Blossom Branch
Three large open blossoms sit across a wide, panoramic field of mottled olive, grey and sandy brown. The two upper flowers face the viewer with broad cream petals washed in green and rust, each centre a dark ring of fine black stamens tipped with crimson and white. A third, smaller bloom sits lower left, petals still cupped. Thin dark branches cross the lower half from edge to edge, with fine russet twigs splitting off and small white flecks scattered like specks of light.
The background is built up in layers, scraped and dragged so the paint looks weathered, while the petals carry thicker strokes and visible ridges. It is a quiet, earthy floral rather than a bright one, with a worn, almost fresco-like surface behind the flowers.
The long horizontal shape suits a wall above a sofa, a bed head or a hallway console. The olive, grey and sand palette works with linen upholstery, timber furniture, jute rugs and greenery, and sits well in bedrooms, living rooms and dining spaces with warm neutral or sage walls.
