About Easter Blessing He Is Risen
A cross built from bundled driftwood branches stands in the centre of a plain off-white ground. Around its join sits a small posy of purple pansies with yellow centres, sprigs of green fern and tiny white bell-shaped blooms, tied with a mustard-yellow ribbon that loops down the vertical beam and curls at the ends. A white dove flies in from the upper right, wings spread, with faint grey-blue shading along the feathers. The words HE IS in soft lilac capitals sit top left; RISEN runs large across the base.
The drawing is light and watercolour-like, with visible paper texture in the background and dry, streaky grain along each timber branch. Colour is held to a few notes: lilac lettering and petals, yellow ribbon, soft green foliage. It reads as a quiet, uncluttered Easter piece rather than a decorative or ornate one, with plenty of empty space around the cross.
Suits an entry hall, dining room wall or a home office where you want a simple faith-based piece. It works against white or pale grey walls and next to timber furniture, linen and rattan. Pair it with a second scripture or floral print in the same lilac and yellow palette, or hang it alone above a console.
