A square photograph looks up at the Eiffel Tower from street level. The tower rises from the lower left to a point near the top centre, its iron lattice and the arched base of the first level clearly visible. Warm orange tones show through the structure beneath the platform.
On the right stands an ornate street lamp with a round frosted globe and curled iron bracket, set against the sky. Dark tree foliage fills the bottom corners. The whole image carries an aged texture of scratches, cracks and mottled gold, ochre and olive patches, like worn paper or old film.
