The Eiffel Tower rises through the centre of a tall portrait frame, its legs and shaft built from cream and tan paper scraps that carry lines of printed text. Horizontal bands of black lattice mark the first level, and a pale arch opens between the legs. The tower is slightly warm against the cooler sky.
A stone bridge with three arches runs across the lower third, its face also layered with newsprint. Small white lamps glow along the bank, and a red boat sits to the right. Below, dark slate-blue water is streaked with pale drips and reflections. Broad brushed strokes of blue, grey and ochre fill the sky, and rough torn edges frame the scene in a mixed-media look.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
