About Entrancing

A pit bull terrier fills the square, head tilted slightly, one ear flopped forward and the other cocked up. The face is built from patchwork colour: turquoise and violet across the brow, pink and lilac down the muzzle, a solid blue nose, and warm amber eyes ringed in dark outline. Patterned details run through the coat as chequers, stripes, dots, spirals and small leaf shapes in green, red, yellow and black. The background is a washed pale green and cream with rows of lemon-yellow dots and a few small stars.

The effect is graphic and affectionate rather than realistic, with heavy black contour lines holding the colour blocks in place. Loose washes, spatter and printed pattern give the surface a collaged, layered look while the dog's steady gaze keeps the focus on the face. A small painted signature sits at the right of the neck.

Suits a living room, kids' bedroom, playroom or home office where you want one bright focal point. The square format works over a sideboard, a cot or a reading chair. It pairs well with white or pale grey walls, timber furniture, rattan baskets and plain linen, and sits happily in a coastal or eclectic room.
