About Flatiron Building New York
A tall portrait photograph of Manhattan's Flatiron Building, its narrow wedge point aimed straight at the viewer and rising through the centre of the frame. Sunlight catches the limestone facade on the left flank while the right side falls into shade, picking out row after row of arched windows and the ornate cornice at the top. Dark silhouetted tree branches and leaves frame the upper corners, and a curved street lamp with a hanging sign cuts in from the left edge.
Below, a wide empty road carries painted lane arrows and the word ONLY, with parked planters, low awnings and a domed neighbouring tower on the right. The mood is quiet and early-morning, all grey tonal range with deep black foliage and a smooth pale sky.
