About Floral Song
A loose bouquet fills the centre of a flat grey background, arranged in a pale green glass vase whose rim sits low in the frame. Large peach and blush peonies anchor the middle, surrounded by small orange ranunculus, deep pink roses, a cream tulip and sprays of white blossom. Fine stems of coral bleeding heart arch out to the left and right, breaking the round shape of the arrangement. Olive leaves fall over the front edge of the vase.
The artwork has a soft, slightly blurred finish: petals are built from broad strokes of colour with little outline, while the grey backdrop is left plain so the flowers carry all the detail. The overall character is calm and romantic rather than bold, with warm peach and coral tones lifted against cool grey.
Suits a bedroom above a bed or dresser, a hallway console, a living room with grey or linen upholstery, or a home office wall. The grey background sits easily with silver frames, pale timber and white joinery, while the peach and coral flowers pick up blush cushions, brass lamps and terracotta ceramics. The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
