Four pairs of spread bird wings are drawn in fine grey pen lines on a cream parchment background. Two wings sit across the top and two across the bottom, each pair mirrored so the shoulders face the centre. Every feather is outlined individually, from short covert feathers near the joint to long flight feathers along the edge.
Shading is concentrated at the shoulder of each wing, where dense cross-hatching makes the feathers look thick and layered, then thins out towards the tips. The paper is mottled sepia with darker brown stained edges. A small italic caption reading "Wing Specimens" sits in the lower right corner, in the style of a natural history plate.
