About Fruit Contour Oranges
Three round fruits sit on a plain white ground, drawn with a single dry, slightly broken black contour line. The uppermost orange is small and tilts to the right, the middle one is the largest and sits low left, and the third overlaps it on the right with a small dot marking the blossom end. Six pointed leaves fan out around them, each outlined and left unfilled, with only a faint centre vein suggested. The line varies in weight, thick where the stroke slows and thin and scratchy where it lifts.
Nothing is shaded or coloured in, so the whole composition reads as open white space held together by drawing. The character is quiet and confident, a quick citrus study that keeps just enough wobble in the line to feel drawn rather than mechanical.
Suits kitchens, dining rooms, breakfast nooks and cafe-style corners with white or pale walls. It works above a sideboard, beside open shelving, or as one half of a pair with another black and white line print. Pairs with timber, rattan, brass handles and plain ceramic vases.
