A large white daisy with a yellow centre fills the left side of this square image, its long petals brushed in loose cream and pale grey strokes. Around it sit round, ruffled blooms in deep magenta, soft pink, buttery yellow and bright orange, each built from broad, visible brushstrokes.
The background is a washy mix of powder blue and teal, crossed by upright green stems and slim blue-green leaves. The flowers crowd edge to edge with no horizon or vase, so the eye moves across the colours. The texture reads as thick, expressive acrylic or oil on canvas.
