A single giant sequoia stands at the centre of a portrait-format scene, its reddish-brown trunk rising to a rounded crown of layered green foliage. Two dark brown trunks at the left and right edges frame the view like a doorway into the forest. Behind the tree, rows of pale green conifers fade back in angled bands of light and shadow.
At the base, a small station wagon and a tiny standing figure sit in a grassy clearing beside a low wooden rail fence, which makes the trunk look enormous. Cream clouds streak a mint green sky. The title block at the bottom reads "SEQUOIA" in large cream capitals, then "NATIONAL PARK", with "General Sherman" in script and "THE WORLD'S BIGGEST TREE" beside it. The flat, screen-print colours give it a mid-century park poster feel.
