The Chrysler Building's stepped, sunburst crown and needle spire rise from the centre-right of a square frame. The tower is rendered in pale cream and silver-grey, with rows of small lit windows picked out down its shaft. Around it, darker blocks of neighbouring buildings crowd the lower edge, their facades broken into fine grids of windows.
The sky is a mottled wash of beige, putty and soft grey, scuffed with flecks and streaks of gold leaf and touches of teal near the top. The surface looks weathered and layered, like aged plaster, so the skyline seems to emerge from mist. It is a digital, textured artwork, not a sharp photograph, and the soft edges give it a quiet, muted mood.
