A close-up photograph fills the frame with the layered, ruffled petals of a double hibiscus. The petals fold over one another in waves, and a small cluster of orange-brown stamens sits just below the centre, partly tucked among the folds.
The colour runs from pale lemon yellow at the edges to deeper amber and orange where the petals overlap, with fine veins visible across the thin surfaces. Focus is sharp on the centre and softens toward the corners, and a dark green background shows only at the top and the left edge.
