A black and white photograph looks up and across a large circular rose window set into a stone wall. A small round hub sits near the upper left, with slender stone spokes fanning outwards like the ribs of a wheel. Between the spokes, oval panels with lobed, cloverleaf tracery hold the faint outline of leaded glass.
The window is cut at an angle, so its curve sweeps off the edge of the frame. A deep moulded arch wraps around it, and rough, blocky masonry fills the upper right in soft grey shadow. At the lower left, a balustrade of small pierced quatrefoils runs along the base. The tones range from bright, pale stone to dark, shaded recesses, which gives the carving a crisp, sculptural feel.
