Two hydrangea stems rise through a warm yellow field in this mixed-media style botanical. On the right, a tall stem carries a cluster of small indigo blooms above a patch of burnt orange, with a large dark purple leaf curving at its base. A second, fainter stem sits at the upper left, drawn in fine purple and blue lines over a block of orange.
The surface looks built up in layers, with scraped patches, rubbed-in colour and pale leaf-vein impressions showing through the yellow. A blue-grey flower shape sits in the bottom left corner, and small cream and orange blocks interrupt the edges. The palette is mustard, orange, indigo and cream, with a soft, worn, textured finish.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
