A bold indigo-blue orchid is shown as a solid silhouette against a soft white ground. Large rounded petals cluster through the centre and lower right, while a smaller bud and a curled leaf-like shape sit at the upper left. Two thin stems rise from the top edge and a short stalk drops from the bottom.
The flowers have no inner detail, so the shape carries the image. Faint brush marks show in the blue, and the off-white background has visible sweeping strokes in pale grey and cream. The result is a flat, graphic, contemporary look with a handmade surface, and the square format gives the cropped blooms room to push toward the edges.
