A single flower stands upright down the centre of a pale off-white ground. Its head is a dense, dark charcoal cluster built from crossing brushstrokes, with small teardrop gaps of white cut through it. Three slim stems run down from the head and join into one, with a single dark leaf angling out to the right.
Above the dark bloom, a large fan of soft greys opens upward like a plume or a feather, its layered petal shapes outlined in darker grey and filled with translucent white. Near the bottom left, a faint grey leaf ghosts beside the stem. The medium looks like ink or gouache, with visible brush marks and plenty of blank space around the shape. A small signature sits at the lower right.
