About Venice Grand Canal Gondolas
Tall mooring poles painted in blue and white spirals rise out of green-teal canal water in the foreground, one cropped at the right edge and topped with a pale finial. Behind them a row of gondolas sits moored side by side, their covers in navy and teal with polished timber trim and small brass fittings catching the light. The far bank carries a long arcaded building with repeated arches, and beyond it older facades in cream, ochre and terracotta step down to the waterline. The sky is brushed with pink and mauve cloud over pale blue.
The mood is late-afternoon calm: warm sunset colour above, cool water below, and the striped poles giving the photograph a strong rhythm across the frame.
Suits a dining room wall above a sideboard, a hallway that needs depth, or a bedroom with linen and timber.
