About Kitchen
A pale yellow table fills the lower third of the canvas, set against a wall broken into flat vertical bands of cream and dark brown. On the table, a clear glass bottle holds four long-stemmed calla lilies, three open in bright orange-red and one drooping in soft yellow. To the left sits a white bowl of four green limes, with the ladder back of a tan wooden chair behind it. On the right, a cream mug with a dark interior stands beside a stack of six brown and white banded plates.
The paint is applied smoothly, with soft shadows pooling across the tabletop and a framed picture of a dark bottle hanging at the top right corner. It is a quiet, orderly domestic scene where warm browns and creams are lifted by the few strokes of orange.
Suits kitchens, dining nooks and breakfast areas, particularly rooms with timber furniture, cream walls or terracotta tiles. The flat brown bands sit well above a sideboard or against panelled walls, and the orange lilies pick up copper pans, ceramic bowls and rattan chairs.
