About Rainbow Blossoms
Around twenty small five-petal blossoms rise on thin black stems across a wide landscape canvas. Each flower is built from thick white paint pressed on with a knife, the petals standing proud of the surface with a dab of yellow ochre at the centre. Behind them the background runs through a spectrum: deep violet and cobalt blue on the left, a bright lemon and cream glow through the middle, and scarlet and orange down the right edge, all scraped in flat knife strokes that leave ridges and broken edges.
The stems bend and cross at different heights, so the flowers read as a loose meadow rather than a row. It is a cheerful, high-contrast piece where the raised white petals catch light against the flat colour field.
Suits a light-filled living room, a hallway above a console table, or a child's bedroom where the colour range can do the work. The 200 x 100cm size fits above a three-seat sofa.
