About Pink Blossom Tree
A slender dark trunk curves up from the lower edge of the square canvas and splits into thin branches that arch out to both sides. The branches carry hundreds of small white five-petal blossoms, each dotted with a spot of orange-red at the centre and built up in thick strokes so the petals sit proudly off the surface. Behind the tree the sky is worked in short fanned palette-knife strokes of crimson, magenta and violet, opening into a pale yellow and cream glow directly behind the trunk.
The knife marks radiate outward like overlapping tiles, giving the background a ridged, quilted texture that catches light across the canvas. A signature sits in the lower left corner. The overall character is bright and decorative, with the warm centre acting like a rising sun behind the flowering branches.
Suits a living room with white or grey walls, a bedroom above a bed head, or a hallway that needs colour at one end. Works with pink or plum cushions, timber furniture and brass lamps.
