About Sunburst Horizon
The canvas is built from curved bands that arc from edge to edge, like ripples seen head on. At the top, white and pale cream open into a broad wash of chrome yellow, which deepens through apricot into burnt orange across the middle. Below that the palette turns sharply to cobalt and navy, broken by streaks of turquoise and a few surviving flecks of red-orange where the two halves meet. Two small black birds, drawn in quick flicking strokes, sit high in the yellow.
Paint is dragged in long knife sweeps, leaving ridged edges and dry-brush gaps that let lower colours show through. The character is simple and bold: a warm sky and a cold sea reduced to colour and movement, with the birds giving scale.
Works above a sofa in a white or grey living room, in a coastal-style bedroom, or on a stair landing where the yellow lifts a dim wall. Pairs with pale timber, linen upholstery, woven rugs and brass or black metal lamps. The vertical shape suits narrow walls between windows or beside a doorway.
