About Prism Burst
A wide landscape composition built from thick knife-laid colour. A broad yellow band runs from the top edge down through the centre and spreads outward near the base, edged in lime green. To the left, cobalt and cerulean blue sweep in a curved fan above a band of magenta and violet. The right side carries deep blue and purple strokes that break into hot pink and red along the lower corner. Ridges of paint catch the light where the knife has dragged and lifted.
The character is loud and energetic, with colours meeting in hard wet edges rather than blended transitions. It reads as pure colour movement, like a burst opening outward from the middle of the canvas.
Works in rooms that are otherwise plain: a white or grey lounge wall, a hallway with timber floors, or above a low sideboard in an open-plan living area. Pairs with solid-colour sofas, black metal furniture and simple ceramics. Also suits creative offices, studios and children's play spaces where strong colour is welcome.
