About Autumn Birch Grove
A row of slender birch trunks fills the canvas, painted in pale blue-white with grey-blue shadow lines and dark flecks along the bark. Above them a dense canopy is built up in thick palette-knife strokes of orange, rust and yellow, with individual leaf shapes standing proud of the surface in raised dabs. Smaller orange and gold leaves scatter down between the trunks, and a band of the same warm colour runs along the ground line at the base, suggesting fallen leaves.

Suits a lounge room or dining wall where warm tones are wanted against grey, white or charcoal walls. It works with timber furniture, tan leather, linen and rust or ochre cushions.
