The granite is cut by diagonal bands of grey, tan and rust that run towards the camera like rays. Above it, streaky clouds glow pink, coral and lilac against pale blue, while a thin band of yellow and orange light sits on the horizon over flat water at the right. A few dark conifers stand along the ridge. It is a wide-angle colour photograph.
