About Audrey's Wardrobe Triptych
Three narrow vertical panels each hold a single standing woman seen from the chest down to a dissolving hem, her face hidden under a wide white palette-knife hat. The dresses are built from small square strokes: rust, ochre and check patterning on the left panel, apple green and olive in the centre, violet, navy and grey on the right. Bare shoulders and arms are left as thin pale paint. Below the waist the colour blocks break apart and drift down the pale grey-blue ground like falling confetti.
Faint stencilled lettering reads across the lower panels, with fragments of "Audrey Hepburn" and "Kathleen" showing through the wash. It is a light, decorative fashion piece that reads as three dress sketches pinned side by side.
Suited to a bedroom, dressing room or walk-in robe, a hallway run where three tall panels can be spaced evenly, or a boutique fitting area. The pale grey-blue ground sits well against white or soft grey walls, with light timber, chrome and mirrored furniture, and picks up green or violet cushions.
