About Rainbow Retriever Smile
A golden retriever fills the square canvas head-on, cropped so the ears run off both sides and the chest rises from the bottom edge. The face is built from flat patches of colour rather than blended fur: burnt orange, rust and ochre across the forehead, with unexpected chips of pale blue, sage green and cream scattered through the crown. The muzzle is pale grey-blue with dotted whisker marks, the nose a large plum-and-black shape, and the open mouth shows a pink tongue and white teeth. The background is a solid violet-purple.
The dog's dark eyes are set under heavy brown brows and the whole expression reads as an open, panting grin. Brushwork is thick and short, with ridges of paint catching light on the forehead and muzzle, and dark outlines drawn in to hold each colour patch in place. It is a cheerful, high-colour dog portrait with real paint texture, not a flat print look.
Suits a family kitchen, hallway or a child's bedroom where the violet background can lift a plain white or grey wall. Works above a bench seat, a bookshelf or a laundry bench, and pairs well with timber furniture, woven baskets and other bright square canvases in a small grid.
