Several daylilies fill the frame in deep magenta and raspberry pink, shown close up and overlapping. The large central bloom faces the viewer, its broad petals curving outward around a yellow-green throat and a ring of long stamens tipped with orange-gold anthers.
A second flower opens on the right with curling stamens, and another leans in from the top. Buds sit at the left and upper edges. The background is loose green foliage in bright lime and darker leaf tones. Brushwork is visible and the colour is rich and saturated. A small signature sits at the lower right.
