About Golden Panel Mosaic
The canvas is divided into eight rectangular blocks by two horizontal rules and a set of vertical breaks, so the surface reads like a wall of large tiles. The blocks alternate in tone: deep chocolate and burnt ochre at the outer edges, pale cream and warm gold through the middle, with a dark brown panel top centre that anchors the grid. Within each block the paint is dragged and scraped in broad sweeps, leaving cloudy streaks, fingered marks and raised ridges that catch light across the join lines.
Five small squares sit inset in the panels, each outlined in pale paint with a dot of rust or grey at the centre, like tiny plaques set into stonework. The painting has the quiet, weathered feel of an old gilded wall, warm and steady rather than busy.
Suits warm interiors with timber, leather or rattan: above a sideboard in a dining room, behind a tan sofa, or along a hallway with cream walls. The gold and chocolate tones pair with brass lamps, jute rugs and terracotta pots, and the larger sizes hold a wide living room wall on their own.
