Round nasturtium leaves and curved stems are layered over a burnt orange ground in this printmaking-style botanical illustration. Pale olive green leaf shapes sit behind darker grey-green leaves with visible veins, and where the shapes overlap the colours deepen to brown. The stems bend and cross in the lower half.
A narrow charcoal panel runs down the left edge, filled with bright butter yellow leaf silhouettes and thin stalks. It breaks the orange field into two zones. The surface looks mottled and inky, with uneven ink coverage and fine vein detail, like a layered relief print or monoprint rather than a photograph.
