A flat periwinkle-blue peacock stands on the left side of a deep indigo background, its body drawn in simple shapes with darker leaf-like patches on the wing. It has a small fan crest and a yellow-green eye patch. The word "PEACOCK" runs across the top in tall, thin, pale teal capitals.
The tail trails down and across the page as long ribbons of olive green, teal and lilac, curling into spirals, tendrils and pointed leaves. The colours sit in a limited palette against a mottled, slightly textured dark ground with a soft worn border. It reads as a graphic art nouveau style illustration rather than a realistic bird.
