A single open rose is shown in an X-ray style, its petals rendered as see-through layers of grey and black against a clean white background. The bloom faces slightly upward, with a tightly furled centre of darker petals rising above a thick, near-solid black stem that angles down to the bottom edge.
The outer petals ruffle and fold outward in thin, veil-like sheets, with fine vein lines visible through each layer. Where petals overlap the tone deepens to charcoal, and at the edges it fades almost to nothing. The image is a monochrome photograph, square in format, with plenty of white space around the flower.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
