A bright orange butterfly sits on the edge of a green leaf, facing the camera with its wings partly open. The fine black antennae reach up and out, and the thin legs grip the leaf. The wing edges are slightly worn and ragged, and dark veins run through the orange.
The background is a soft blur of mint green and pale turquoise, with a second butterfly's wing just visible as a smudge of brown and orange at the top left. A darker leaf fills the right edge. It is a shallow-focus photograph with warm, natural light, and the sharpest detail sits on the butterfly's head and body.
