A single mushroom with a smooth, glossy orange-red cap sits just above centre of this portrait photograph. The cap is wide and slightly folded along one side, with tiny water droplets catching the light on its surface. A short, pale brown stem is partly hidden by the moss and a few fallen leaves at its base.
Below and around it, a thick carpet of feathery moss glows in yellow and olive green, each frond sharp in the foreground. The background softens into blurred green grass, small leaves and hints of rust and orange. The soft, even light looks like shade on a forest floor, and the warm cap stands out against the cooler greens.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
