A square panel of flat terracotta orange carries a single white line that loops and doubles back to suggest a face turned three-quarters to the right. The line starts as a long arched brow at the upper left, curls into a closed almond eye beneath it, then travels across to form a second brow and eye on the right before dropping down the bridge of the nose. A small hooked loop marks the nostril, the line widens into a full upper and lower lip, then falls away as a loose jaw and neck that trails off the lower edge.

There is no shading, no background detail and no second colour: just the warm clay orange field and an unbroken white contour of even weight. Printed on cotton canvas the surface shows a fine woven grain, which softens the edges of the line slightly. The character is calm and graphic, more suggestion than likeness, with plenty of empty orange space around the drawing.
