The view looks over the bow of a small wooden rowboat in warm orange, red and yellow. Two yellow oars with dark grip wraps cross over the foredeck, and a grey rope is knotted loosely at the tip of the bow. A second coil of rope sits on a cleat at the lower left. A cut-out in the bow shows a patch of turquoise water beneath.
Beyond the boat, flat teal water fills the upper half of the square. A pale blue dock runs across the middle with two short posts, and a dark tree-lined shore on the far bank reflects in the lake at the top right. The shapes are bold and simple, with smooth blocks of colour, a painted illustration look, and strong contrast between warm boat and cool water.
