A brown puppy with floppy ears and wide dark eyes stands inside an open purple paint tin, front paws resting over the rim. A paintbrush with a purple-tipped bristle head is held crosswise in its mouth. The face is wrinkled, with a dark muzzle and a pale cream patch down the chest.
Thick purple paint drips down the outside of the tin, which has a thin wire handle. Beside it sit a pink tin with white polka dots holding two more brushes, and a short pale blue tin with white drips. Everything rests on a flat sage green background with soft shadows under each tin. It is a smooth, stylised illustration with clean outlines and gentle shading.
