About Paris Trip
A square collage built around a dark brown vintage ladies bicycle seen side on, with a sprung leather saddle, swept handlebars, exposed chain and spoked wheels. A woven wicker basket sits over the rear wheel at right. Behind it, a pale outline of the Eiffel Tower rises through the centre-left, its lattice legs fading into the background. The word PARIS runs in rust red capitals across the upper right, beside faint circular postmarks and fragments of typed lettering.
The whole surface carries a crosshatched linen-weave texture, with scratched vertical lines, patchy taupe, cream and warm brown washes and a rust-coloured fleur-de-lis stamped at top left. Edges of the bicycle are broken and worn, as though printed on aged paper. It reads as a travel keepsake: quiet, warm-toned and nostalgic rather than bright, with the red lettering the only strong accent.
Suits a hallway, guest bedroom or dining room with warm neutral walls, and works above a sideboard or console. Pairs with timber furniture, linen upholstery, rattan baskets and aged brass. Good in a French-provincial or travel-themed room, and it holds its own as a single square above a bedhead or in a reading nook.
