A single pineapple fills the centre of a square canvas, set against a soft beige background with visible dry brushstrokes running diagonally. The body is made of harlequin diamonds in plum, deep indigo, hot pink, coral and cream, each with a soft watercolour-style bleed and thin pale lines between them.
The crown is a collage of patterned fabric cut into leaf shapes. There are pink florals, blue and gold brocade, a black and gold scalloped panel, a black and white swirl and purple shell motifs. The mix of cut-paper edges and textured background gives it a layered, mixed-media feel.
