Two strands of pearls arc up through an enormous grey-black ostrich plume that fills most of the sheet. She has short auburn curls, lowered eyes and a faint smile.
Across the top, the header reads "LA VIE PARISIENNE" at left and "Dessin de G. Pavis." at right, with the title "L'ART D'UTILISER LES RESTES" centred beneath. A thin tan border frames the cream page. Her black coat has a wide tan-lined collar with white highlights, and a pearl necklace lies at her throat. The loose, brushy feather strokes give it a 1920s magazine feel.
