About Red Monochrome Patterns IV
Sets of parallel diagonal stripes run in three different directions across a solid black background, meeting at hard angles near the centre so the surface reads like overlapping folded ribbons. Each band is a flat, clean-edged block of colour: bright scarlet, warm orange-coral, dusty blush pink, deep burgundy and near-black maroon. The black gaps between stripes are as wide as the stripes themselves, which keeps the pattern open and lets the brighter reds jump forward while the plum tones sink back.
There is no visible texture in the artwork itself, only crisp vector-style edges and flat colour, so the finish stays graphic and poster-like. The character is bold and rhythmic, a simple repeat that still shifts direction enough to keep your eye moving around the frame.
Works in a living room above a low sideboard, in a home office, or as a strong accent in a teen bedroom. The black ground suits charcoal and timber furniture, while the reds pick up rust cushions, terracotta pots or brass lamps. Hang alone on a white or pale grey wall, or pair with a second graphic print. Browse more multi-coloured art, orange art, purple and pink art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.
