About Redness
A row of five stylised wine glasses leans across the lower left of the canvas, set against a flat crimson field that fills the upper half. Three glasses on the left hold thick red paint scraped on with a knife, their stems drawn as thin blue and cream slivers. Beside them a white, silver and pale blue cluster breaks the line, topped with short flicks of yellow, green and turquoise. Two teal-blue bowls tilt to the right, resting on a black slab that reads as a table edge.
A narrow band of blue, orange and gold runs to the right of the glasses like a horizon line, its ridges catching the light. The mood is bold and graphic: hard colour blocks, heavy knife texture and almost no detail, so the shapes register as wine glasses from across the room rather than up close.
Suits dining rooms, wine bars, kitchens with dark cabinetry and open-plan living areas that need a single strong colour note. The flat red reads well on white, charcoal or grey plaster walls, and pairs with black timber furniture, brushed steel and simple glassware. Hang it above a sideboard, buffet or bar cart.
