A single butterfly sits side-on at the edge of a pale green leaf, wings held upright and closed. The wings are a warm copper brown with fine darker veins running from the body to the tips, and a broad smoky band across the upper wing. Its thin antennae reach up and out to the right, and its slender orange legs grip the leaf.
The photograph is shot close with a very shallow focus, so the butterfly is crisp while the background melts into soft grey, cream and deep charcoal. The leaf in the foreground is dusted with dark specks and a few small beads of moisture along its serrated edge. The colours are muted and slightly desaturated, giving the image a quiet, toned-down feel.

My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
