About San Francisco Bay Bridge
The Bay Bridge enters from the lower left corner and runs diagonally into the middle distance, its grey suspension tower and cable curves strung with small white lights. Long-exposure traffic has smeared into continuous amber and white ribbons along the deck. Behind it, the downtown San Francisco skyline stands in tight clusters of towers, windows glowing gold, with the pointed Transamerica Pyramid at the right. The bay fills the lower right as flat, dark blue water holding soft reflections of the waterfront lights.
Above the city, a deep teal and navy sky carries thin streaks of cloud stretched by the long exposure. The character here is calm and orderly: cool blue tones across sky and water, warm amber only where the roadway and the buildings are lit. Fine photographic detail shows in the bridge cables, the rows of office windows and the faint headland on the far left.
Suits a lounge room, home office or dining room with a modern or industrial feel, and works well in apartments with grey, charcoal or timber finishes. The teal and amber palette pairs with navy sofas, black metal shelving and brass lamps. Larger sizes hold a long feature wall above a sideboard or bedhead.
